- Navigate to the Posts Section:
- In the WordPress dashboard, find the Posts menu on the left-hand side.
- Hover over Posts, then click on Add New.
- Enter Your News Title:
- At the top of the page, you’ll see a field labeled Add Title.
- Enter the title of your News here.
- Add Content to Your News:
- Below the title, you’ll find a large content editor. This is where you’ll add the main content of your news.
- You can type directly into the editor or paste text from another source.
- Use Blocks to Format Your Content:
- WordPress uses a block-based editor called Gutenberg. Each paragraph, image, heading, or other piece of content is a block.
- Add Your News Excerpt:
- In the Excerpt section, you can write a short summary of your news.
- Add Media (Images, Videos, etc.):
- To add an image, click the + (Add Block) button and select Image.
- You can upload a new image, choose one from the Media Library, or insert from a URL.
- Set a Featured Image:
- The featured image is the main image that represents your news.
- In the Featured Image section, click Set featured image.
- Choose an image from your Media Library or upload a new one.
- Set Post Categories:
- On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the Post Settings panel.
- In the Categories section, you can assign your news to one or more categories.
- ou can create a new category by clicking Add New Category.
- Save as Draft or Publish:
- If you’re not ready to publish, click Save Draft to save your work without making it public.
- To publish the post immediately, click the Publish button.
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Publish again to confirm.
- View Your News:
- After publishing, you can view your post by clicking View Post or going to your site’s homepage.
